CALENDARIO ENERO 2025

The January calendar has been posted.  We encourage you to notice and appreciate the richness of the meaningful liturgy of the pre-1955 liturgical celebrations, its clarity and encompassing way of presenting –through the hands of the priest– our prayers to the Lord, in unity with all the traditional intentions and orations the Holy Mother Church instructs us to recall in all Masses of the month.  The pre-Bugnini liturgy is, without doubt, the best and most coherent way of defending our traditional Catholic faith in the present time.

The month of January is dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus, and this great Feast is celebrated this year on January 5, with commemoration of the Vigil of the Epiphany.  Also on January 5 is the Feast Day of St. John Neumann, C.Ss.R., Bishop and Confessor, and first American male to be canonized.  Our Society defers the celebration of this feast until January 7.  Also of note is the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6, Feast of the Holy Family on the 12th, and the Octave Day of the Epiphany on the 13th, which concludes the temporal season of Christmas*.

* According to the St. Andrew Daily Missal, Dom Gaspar Lefebvre, O.S.B., 1945, p. 125.  Note that the sanctoral season of Christmas ends with the Feast of the Purification on February 2.
