PREPARANDO-SE PARA O PATROCÍNIO DE ST. JOSEPH

In the pre-1955 liturgical calendar, the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Confessor, and Patron of the Universal Church, occurs on the third Wednesday after Easter.  The feast has the rank of Double of the First Class with a Common Octave.  The Society of the Most Holy Redeemer prepares for the Solemnity – celebrated on May 7 this year – with a novena commencing on April 28.  Here is a link to some prayers in honor of St. Joseph that could be used as a novena, or the “miraculous” novena, found here, could be used for nine days.

This year we members of the Society are using the “Devotion to the Seven Sorrows and the Seven Joys of St. Joseph” and encourage you to join us.  We need the protection of St. Joseph even more this year as Rome prepares for a papal conclave.  St. Joseph, pray for us and obtain for us a holy pope.
