Mas quanto maior for a gra\u00e7a, maior ser\u00e1 a indigna\u00e7\u00e3o do Senhor contra aquele que n\u00e3o corresponder a ela. Ele \u00e9 o Senhor. Quando Ele chama, deseja ser obedecido, e obedecido prontamente.<\/p><p><b>Medita\u00e7\u00e3o I: <\/b><br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0A gra\u00e7a da voca\u00e7\u00e3o ao estado religioso n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma gra\u00e7a comum; \u00e9 uma gra\u00e7a muito rara, que Deus concede apenas a alguns. <em>Ele n\u00e3o fez isso com todas as na\u00e7\u00f5es<\/em>. - (Sl. cxlvii., 20). Oh, qu\u00e3o maior \u00e9 essa gra\u00e7a, ser chamado para uma vida perfeita e tornar-se um membro da fam\u00edlia de Deus, do que se algu\u00e9m fosse chamado para ser o rei de qualquer reino nesta terra! Pois que compara\u00e7\u00e3o pode haver entre um reino temporal nesta terra e o reino eterno dos c\u00e9us?<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Mas quanto maior for a gra\u00e7a, maior ser\u00e1 a indigna\u00e7\u00e3o do Senhor contra aquele que n\u00e3o a tiver correspondido, e mais rigoroso ser\u00e1 o Seu julgamento no dia da presta\u00e7\u00e3o de contas. Se um rei chamasse um pobre pastor para seu pal\u00e1cio real, para servi-lo entre os nobres de sua corte, qual n\u00e3o seria a indigna\u00e7\u00e3o do rei se ele recusasse tal favor por n\u00e3o querer deixar sua pobre cabana e seu pequeno rebanho? Deus conhece bem o valor de Suas gra\u00e7as e, por isso, castiga com severidade aqueles que as desprezam. Ele \u00e9 o Senhor; quando Ele chama, deseja ser obedecido, e obedecido prontamente.<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00d3 Senhor, o Senhor me mostrou um excesso de generosidade a ponto de me escolher entre tantos outros para servi-Lo em Sua pr\u00f3pria casa com Seus servos mais amados. Sei qu\u00e3o grande \u00e9 essa gra\u00e7a e qu\u00e3o indigno dela eu tenho sido. Eis que agora estou disposto a corresponder a t\u00e3o grande amor. Eu Te obedecerei. J\u00e1 que foste t\u00e3o liberal para comigo a ponto de me chamar quando eu n\u00e3o Te procurava e quando eu era t\u00e3o ingrato, n\u00e3o permitas que eu Te ofere\u00e7a um excesso de ingratid\u00e3o t\u00e3o grande a ponto de abra\u00e7ar novamente meu inimigo, o mundo, no qual at\u00e9 agora tantas vezes perdi Tua gra\u00e7a e minha salva\u00e7\u00e3o eterna, e assim Te abandonar, que derramaste Teu Sangue e deste Tua vida por mim. J\u00e1 que Tu me chamaste, d\u00e1-me tamb\u00e9m a for\u00e7a para corresponder ao chamado. J\u00e1 prometi obedecer a Ti. Prometo novamente, mas sem a gra\u00e7a da perseveran\u00e7a n\u00e3o posso ser fiel a Ti.
