Maria compreendeu bem a voz de Deus que a chamava a se dedicar ao Seu amor. E assim iluminada, ela imediatamente se ofereceu ao seu Senhor. Eis que, \u00f3 Maria, eu hoje me apresento a ti e, em uni\u00e3o contigo, renuncio a todas as criaturas e me dedico inteiramente ao amor do meu Criador.<\/p><p><b>Medita\u00e7\u00e3o I: <\/b><br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<em>Ouve, filha, e v\u00ea, e inclina os teus ouvidos; e esquece o teu povo e a casa de teu pai<\/em>. - (Sl. xliv., 11). A santa Virgem obedeceu a esse chamado divino com prontid\u00e3o e generosidade. Desde o primeiro momento em que a crian\u00e7a celestial foi santificada no ventre de sua m\u00e3e, que foi no instante de sua Imaculada Concei\u00e7\u00e3o, ela recebeu o perfeito uso da raz\u00e3o e come\u00e7ou a merecer. E imediatamente, como um anjo revelou a Santa Br\u00edgida, nossa Rainha decidiu sacrificar sua vontade a Deus e dar a Ele todo o seu amor por toda a sua vida.<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Maria, ao saber que seus santos pais, S\u00e3o Joaquim e Santa Ana, a haviam consagrado a Deus por meio de votos, pediu-lhes com sinceridade que a levassem ao Templo e cumprissem sua promessa. Aos tr\u00eas anos de idade, como nos conta Santo Epif\u00e2nio - uma idade em que as crian\u00e7as s\u00e3o mais desejosas e precisam mais dos cuidados de seus pais - Maria desejou consagrar-se a Deus.<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Vejam, ent\u00e3o, Joaquim e Ana sacrificando generosamente a Deus o tesouro mais precioso que possu\u00edam no mundo e o tesouro mais querido de seus cora\u00e7\u00f5es. Eles partiram de Nazar\u00e9 levando consigo sua amada filhinha, pois de outra forma ela n\u00e3o poderia fazer uma viagem t\u00e3o longa como a de Nazar\u00e9 a Jerusal\u00e9m, uma dist\u00e2ncia de oitenta quil\u00f4metros. Eles foram acompanhados por poucos parentes, mas coros de anjos escoltaram e serviram a pequena Virgem Imaculada, que estava prestes a se consagrar \u00e0 Majestade Divina. <em>Qu\u00e3o belos s\u00e3o seus passos. . . \u00d3 filha do pr\u00edncipe<\/em>. - (Cant. vii., 1). \"Oh, qu\u00e3o belo\", devem ter cantado os anjos, \"qu\u00e3o aceit\u00e1vel a Deus \u00e9 cada passo que voc\u00ea d\u00e1 no caminho para se apresentar e se oferecer a Ele, \u00f3 nobre filha, amad\u00edssima de nosso Senhor comum!\"<br \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00d3 amada M\u00e3e de Deus, amant\u00edssima filha, Maria, que te apresentaste no Templo e, com prontid\u00e3o e sem reservas, te consagraste \u00e0 gl\u00f3ria e ao amor de Deus; oxal\u00e1 eu pudesse oferecer-te hoje os primeiros anos de minha vida, para dedicar-me sem reservas ao teu servi\u00e7o, minha santa e dulc\u00edssima Senhora! Mas agora \u00e9 tarde demais para fazer isso, pois perdi muitos anos a servi\u00e7o do mundo. Ai daquele tempo em que eu n\u00e3o a amava! Mas \u00e9 melhor come\u00e7ar agora, finalmente, do que n\u00e3o come\u00e7ar. \u00d3 Maria, hoje eu me apresento a ti e, em uni\u00e3o contigo, renuncio a todas as criaturas e me dedico inteiramente ao amor do meu Criador.
