As we approach the end of the liturgical year we invite you to remember these beautiful novenas that can be used during Advent to spiritually prepare for Christmas. Consider adding one or more of them to your daily routine during this penitential time.
The “ST. ANDREW” CHRISTMAS NOVENA which lasts 25 days, begins on November 30, the feast of St. Andrew, and ends on Christmas Eve, so it covers most, if not all, of the Advent season. It is an excellent Advent practice in anticipation of the Greatest Gift of all, born to us on Christmas Day.
And this CHRISTMAS NOVENA OF ST. ALPHONSUS that was translated from the Italian of Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori. When used in preparation for Christmas, it is prayed for nine days from December 16 to 24, but these prayers may be offered at any time of year in order to meditate upon the Divine Infancy of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
